Well, it’s the beginning of another month, so you know what that means! Time for a roundup of things I was loving in November. Enjoy!
Donut Shop Sweet & Creamy Coffee
I received a single-cup coffee maker last year for Christmas, and it’s just so convenient. I wasn’t much of a coffee drinker myself until I discovered these beautiful little K-cups. They already have the sugar and creamer in them, so all I have to do is fill my coffee maker with water, brew a packet, and come back in 2 minutes for seriously the best pick-me-up ever. I’m typically not a fan of hot drinks, so this coffee is made for brewing iced, which just makes it even better. Plus, it’s only 60 calories!
Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue
I don’t even know where to begin to rave on this product. That’s how much I’m in love with it. I guess I’ll start with the fact that it’s no secret I’m super pale. I don’t mind embracing my white skin, but it’s so dang hard to find makeup that matches my skin tone and doesn’t oxidize throughout the day. This tinted moisturizer is the best match I’ve ever found in a base product for my skin. That’s right, I said moisturizer. As in it hydrates your skin while you’re wearing it! And since my skin is on the drier side, especially in these months, I couldn’t have asked for something better. For a moisturizer though, it’s fairly lightweight, which is exactly what I love because I don’t like a lot of coverage. So if you want something for a lot of coverage or you have oilier skin, I would stay away from this product. Another feature I like in this product, is that it has a 30 SPF in it, instead of the skimpy 15 that most foundations claim to have. The last thing I’ll rave about this product is for the packaging. First off, it’s just perty to look at. Secondly, it’s quite sturdy for being a bottle that has to be stood up by the lid. I find a lot of that “upsidedown packaging” can be a bit wobbly and fall over and just be annoying. Not this one. Lastly, the tube where the makeup comes out is so small so it stays clean and I never have the problem of taking out too much product and wasting most of it.
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick
What is a monthly favorites post without a lip product? It just wouldn’t be right. This packaging is just so adorable and practical. I almost wish every lip product would have this sponge tip applicator. It’s so easy to apply whether you want a light layer or a super opaque look. This shade inparticular is like a nude-ish purple. Great for everyday, with a little bit of flare. And I never have a problem with it fading. Throughout the day, it turns into a semi-matte lip stain, which just looks so natural. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector
Continuing on with the fact that I’m pale, this whole “strobing” phase can be a bit tricky on whiter skin. Most people just recommend using a concealer or powder that’s lighter than your skin tone. But how do you get lighter than white? I’ve heard so many rave reviews on the full range of Becca highlighters, and decided to pick one up that I found to be quite a nice pinky tone in a trial size. I’ve seriously worn it every day since I bought it. I find it works best if I put it on before blush, let it set (since it is a cream product), and then apply blush. It sounds so cliche, but it really does give such a natural glow-from-within look. And it last all day! I haven’t had a single problem with it fading or looking patchy.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I never really review any mascaras because, in my mind, mascara is mascara, right? There’s something about this one though that I just can’t get passed. The wand on this is curved, so it makes your outer lashes flare and just look so big and open. It’s definitely a lenthening formula, and my lashes always look crazy long and curled. It actually gives a small bit of volume as well. Definitely that “full fan effect” that it claims.
