Wet N’ Wild Review

I’ve gotten a little behind on posts due to school and work, but nonetheless, it’s here! If you read my last post, you may have noticed how many of my favorites were from the cosmetic brand Wet N’ Wild. I had never tried anything from them before about two weeks ago, but now I’m hooked! I realized that I’ve collected quite a few products ever since discovering my love for them, and today I’ve decided to do an in-depth brand review. Now, these are just my opinions, so keep in mind that what doesn’t work for me may work for you and vice versa. But if great products for a low price interests you, keep reading!

Coloricon Brow Pencil

I’m all about a bold brow, but maybe not as bold as this pencil made them. It was only 80 cents, so I wasn’t expecting much. There’s no waxy texture to this pencil like there are with most brow products. It’s basically like I took a brown color pencil to my eyebrows. Not impressed. Let’s move on.

Megalast Matte Lipstick (pictured left)

Shade: Red Velvet and Just Peachy

I have no words for how wonderful these lipsticks are. They’re pigmented, they’re not drying, and they last forever. I was truly surprised at how well the red shade stayed put even after eating and drinking throughout the day. And for $1.93? Such a great bargain!

Silk Finish Lipstick (pictured right)

Shade: Will You Be With Me?

I originally bought this lip color by accident, thinking it was matte. So I don’t like this lip color as much as the one mentioned above simply because I don’t like creamy finish lipsticks. However, this shade is soooo pretty! I keep this one in my purse for those just-in-case moments and it adds just enough color to my lips. The only thing I really don’t like about this range of lip products is the packaging. The silk finish lipsticks have a cap that is super difficult to get off. But for 97 cents, so I can’t really complain, can I?

Megalast Nail Color

Shade: Undercover, I Red a Good Book, + Haze of Love

I recently reviewed this product in my September Favorites, so I won’t delve into it too much more. But basically, if it was in my favorites post, then it’s obviously a product I recommend! I’ve since then purchased more colors and they’re all beautiful. Undercover (middle) is the prettiest natural mauve color I’ve ever seen. I Red a Good Book (far left) is that classic red that I can never seem to get enough of, especially once the holidays come around. And lastly, Haze of Love (far right), my oh my, is the epitome of the perfect fall color. It’s a dark rusty red with a slight brown undertone. Just perfect.

Coverall Pressed Powder

Shade: Fair (of course)

I mentioned in my Makeup Starter Kit for Beginners that I normally just use baby powder to set my concealer or foundation. It’s worked well for me for quite a while now, but I was getting tired of having baby powder everywhere because it can be really messy at times. I was going to pick up the Maybelline Fit Me pressed powder because I’ve used it before, but then I decided to pick up this one from Wet N’ Wild which was like half the price. The color selection isn’t that great, but I was lucky enough that their lightest shade wasn’t too dark for me. And it’s so good! It sits on the skin so nicely without being heavy or caking up. The only thing I don’t like is the sponge. I just use a powder brush or a powder puff.

Coloricon Blush

Shade: Heather Silk

On any day I put makeup on, I never skip blush. In fact, even on those “no makeup makeup” days, I do mascara, brows, lipstick, and of course, blush. However, I only have two blushes and never really see a purpose to buy more because they’re all typically the same color. I picked this one up just because I was excited about trying a new brand and this color was such a pretty mauve muted pink, perfect in time for the upcoming winter months. And lemme just say, this stuff is pigmented! It goes on so smoothly and looks so natural. Apply it very lightly though because the color payoff is insane!

Fergie Shimmer Palette

Shade: Rose Champagne Glow

I’m not big into bronzer considering I’m so pale, but I love me some highlighter. I just love a natural glow for any day. There aren’t many drugstore highlighters, and I was super excited when I spotted this one! It’s such a beautiful golden peach shade and goes on so nicely. I just dab it on top of my blush and it instantly gives life to my face. I will say that there are two things I don’t like about this product though. The packaging is one of those. It’s TOO big. It’s well-made packaging, but it’s so clunky. It’s not exactly a travel friendly product. Secondly, which isn’t that big of a deal, is the name. I feel like if this were called the Fergie Highlighter it would sound more appealing. The name Shimmer Palette just sounds kind of like cheap, Barbie makeup with too much glitter. So don’t be turned away by the name because it’s a great hightlighter for the price!
